Optimal clinical pathway for adults with multiple sclerosis (MS)

More than120,000 people in England live with multiple sclerosis (MS), and more than 7,100 people are newly diagnosed in the UK each year. It’s nearly three times more common in women than in men. Most people are diagnosed in their 30s and 40s but it can be diagnosed in younger and older people. MS is the most common condition of the central nervous system affecting young adults.

The development of the optimal clinical pathway for adults with MS has been overseen by NNAG and led by a working group of clinicians and MS organisations. A public consultation was held to gather input, views and experience from people with neurological conditions and wider stakeholders.
