Optimal clinical pathway for adults with Neuromuscular Disorders

Neuromuscular conditions encompass over 60 different conditions - they include rare conditions (many of which are genetically driven) and more common conditions (e.g. myasthenia gravis). Collectively, prevalence is estimated at 1 per 1000 of the population. 85% present in adulthood and 15% during childhood or the neonatal period of life.

The development of the optimal clinical pathway for adults with NeuroMuscular Disorders has been overseen by NNAG and led by a working group of specialist clinicians and Muscular Dystrophy UK. A public consultation was held to gather input, views and experience from people with neurological conditions and wider stakeholders.
